Amritsar, July 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Guru Nanak Dev University has organized a Youth Leadership Camp of Girls at the Students Holiday Home, Dalhousie. As many as 114 students from 12 affiliated colleges participated in this camp. This camp was hosted by the Department of Youth Welfare of the University. Dr. G.P.S. Dhillon, Director, Dalhousie Public School presided over the valedictory function and Sh. Jagdish Lal, Chief Manager, Punjab National Bank, Panchkula was guest of honor. Dr. Kamla, Professor, USOL Department, Panjab Univesity, Chandigarh was the special guest. Dr. Jagjit Kaur welcomed the guests and gave the details about the activities during the camp. Samli Lalotra of SSMC Dinanagar was adjudged the Best Camper while Jaspreet Kaur of RR Bawa DAVC for Girls, Batala stood second best Camper and Radha of HMVC, Jalandhar was remained third. The team of Bebe Nanaki Khalsa College For Women, Dhariwal was adjudged as first best disciplined teams while team of Khalsa College for women, Amritsar was second best disciplined team and SSMC, Dinanagar was remained third. During the camp, students visited Panchpula, Kala Top, Dain Kund, Khajjiar and Dalhousie and participated in the events of extempore, debate, folk song, poetry recitation and dance. Dr. GPS and others guests also gave away the prizes to the winners of these events.
