Swachhta Pakhwada – the Clealiness Drive Concludes at DAV Public School

Amritsar, Sept. 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Under the direction of CBSE Swachhta  Pakhwada – the Cleanliness drive for Swachh Bharat concluded today at DAV Public School Lawrence Road. Various activities were organised in the school during the fortnight from 1^st Sept. to 15^th  Sept,  2017. Special lectures were arranged for the students in the morning assembly. The junior classes were engaged in quiz and painting competition based on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. Debate competition and posting of awareness messages was the activity performed by the senior students. The senior secondary students took the responsibility of sensitising common people around their locality about the cleanliness and hygiene practices. Even the administrative staffs was directed to weed out old files records and broken furniture. On the concluding day, a Nukkad Natak portraying the urgent need to keep the surroundings clean was performed. The students forcefully conveyed that the idea of cleanliness should not only remain on paper and in photographs but should be made a reality. In the  end the students took a pledge to maintain cleanliness and spread this message around.

`Regional Director Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar appreciated the efforts of the school in  organising the cleanliness drive. In their message they said that clean, happy and healthy citizens can only make the country proud. `Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school while addressing the students on the concluding day said,” It is not about asking students to clean the environment, it includes cleanliness in all aspects.” She advised everyone to follow cleanliness to its core.
