Performance Enhancement Workshops for Teachers held at DAV Public School

Amritsar, Dec. 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Under the aegis of DAV Centre of Academic Excellence , DAV CMC, New Delhi and Regional Director, Punjab Zone A Performance Enhancement cum Orientation Programme for teachers teaching  Nursery  to  Std – XII  was hosted at DAV Public School Lawrence Road. The workshops were held under the blessings of Padma Shri Dr. Punam Suri and Regional Director Punjab Zone A Dr. (Mrs) Neelam Kamra. The inaugural session started with lamp lighting and DAV Gaan. All the Resource Persons were welcomed with Flowers. All the resource persons were warmly welcomed by the Regional Director Dr. Neelam  Kamra and Principal of the school,  Dr. Neera Sharma at the inaugural ceremony. As many as 355 teachers from 7 schools of Punjab Zone A participated in the workshops which were held for Maths, Science , Fine Arts , Music /Dance, Computers , Physical Education /Yoga  and  Early Childhood  Education. Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Regional Director Punjab Zone – A motivated the teachers to update themselves with the latest technology and trends in education. She added that workshops and seminars groomed and developed skills of training and learning amongst teachers which in turn enhances the performance of the students .She also acknowledged the hard work put in by the teachers and expressed her pleasure at the enthusiasm shown by them. Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal DAV Public School Lawrence Road encouraged them to interact and learn  from each other on this common platform and groom themselves as better educators.The workshops were skilfully planned and aimed at enhancing the teaching learning process through hands on activity latest multimedia support and interactive discussion. The main objective was to make teaching learning process more interesting in the classroom so as to grab the attention of the students and encourage out of box thinking,  motivating them for practical work.  Overall the workshops were an enriching learning experience that facilitated the learning of new methodologies. The workshops ended on a Valedictory Note.
