Delhi-Amritsar-Birmingham flight will operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Amritsar, Feb. 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla along with PPN2202201810Minister of State Vijay Sampla, Mayor Karamjit Singh, Member Rajya Sabha Shwait Malik, MLA OP Son, MLA Dr. Raj Kumar Verka, DCC Urban President Jugal Kishore Sharma flagged of Air India’s maiden and direct flight from Amritsar to Birmingham. This flight will operate on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from Delhi-Amritsar-Birmingham and back. This is not the first time that Air India started operations on this route. Air India had started Amritsar to Birmingham on 3 Jan 1982 and emerged as most profit making operation. However due to unrest and terrorism this operation was discontinued in 1984. Air India launched the same operation on  15-5-2005 and operated till 2010. S. Aujla thanked Civil Aviation Ministry, Sampla, Malik for striving for the welfare and development of Amritsar and Punjabis.
