Veer Nari meet at Hoshiarpur

Jalandhar, Mar. 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) –     A Veer Nari (Wife of martyred soldier) meet was Organised today at Government College Hoshiarpur under the aegis of Vajra Corps with the objective of resolving the grievances of  Veer Naris of Hoshiarpur district. The event was organised in coordination with district administration. The Deputy Commissioner Mr. Vipul Ujwal and SSP   Mr. J. Elanchezh attended the event.

            Over hundred Veer Naris attended the meet. Col. Dalwinder Singh, District Defence Services Welfare Officer and Col. Jagdeep Singh Nodal Officer, Veer Nari Cell briefed the Veer Naris about various welfare schemes undertaken by Army and Punjab Government.

            A lecture was also delivered by Col. Raghbir Singh, President Tri services Sewa Punjab Col. A.K Sharma OIC Army Placement Node, and Mr. M.K Dadwal, Regional Manager Punjab Gramin Bank on pension related matters, job opportunities and various bank schemes. A medical camp was also organised on the occasion.The event was also attended by representatives of ECHS Poly clinic.
