BBK DAV College Women wins Inter College Gatka Championship

Amritsar, Mar. 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Gatka team of BBK DAV College for Women won the Gatka Inter College championship held at GNDU campus Amritsar. The College team outperformed several teams, namely Khalsa College, S.N College Banga, Hindu Kanya College Kapurthala and Baba Ajit Singh College Gurdaspur.

Mr. Sudershan Kapoor Chairman Local Managing Committee and Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the winner team and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. Speaking on the occasion, the Principal remarked with genuine pride that the college players had always won laurels for their alma- mater and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. Gatka team members are Ms. Rajbeer Kaur, Neha Rani, Puneet Kaur, Simrandeep Kaur, Manpreet Kaur, Rajwinder Kaur, Pawanpreet Kaur, Paramjit Kaur, Parneet Kaur and Kiranjit Kaur.

Mrs. Sweety Bala Head Department of Physical Education Gatka Coaches, Mr. Guravtar Singh, Gurlal Singh and Amandeep Singh, Sports teachers, Ms. Savita Kumari, Gaganpreet Kaur and other faculty members felicitated the players on their achievements.
