BBK DAV Women wins GNDU Rope Mulkhamb Inter-College Championship

Amritsar, Apr. 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Rope Mulkhamb team of BBK DAV College for Women has won the GNDU Rope Mulkhamb Inter-College Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. The college team defeated HMV College, Jalandhar and SD College, Dinanagar and emerged winner.

Mr. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Managing Committee and Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to better their performance in future. She proudly added that the college players had always brought laurels in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV reigns supreme in sports. Team members include Ms. Gaganpreet Kaur, Suman Kaur, Meenakshi, Rimpy Rani and Sunanda Kumari. Three players of college Ms. Suman Kaur, Meenakshi and Rimpy Rani have been selected for all India Intervarsity. Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, Ms. Savita Kumari, Gaganpreet Kaur, sports teachers and faculty members felicitated the players on their achievements.
