The team constituted by Vijay Inder Singla investigated worsening state of Verka bridge

Amritsar, June 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – After the action taken by Member of Parliament for Amritsar S. Gurjeet Singh Aujla in the matter of Verka BRTS bridge, the Minister for the department of Public Works Vijay Inder Singla in response to the MP’s email constituted a team to investigate the worsening state of the bridge. The team including SE PWD B&R Patiala JS Mann, Dy. Director Research Lab. Patiala Gagandeep Singh, SE Construction Amritsar Circle D.V Goel, SE NHAI PWD. N.R Goel visited the site of the bridge and took stock of the damage. The team also met the MP and briefed about the damage. Aujla said that the team has take samples, photos and collected the technical data to assess the damage and consequences. The team will submit the report after the analysis of the materials collected. Aujla added that culprits shall not be spared for playing with the safety and security of the public. All the companies, vendors, officials involved shall be penalized and blacklisted.
