Press Information Bureau Chandigarh Giani Jiwa Singh breathed his last on Saturday morning after brief illness. The cremation of his mortal remains was conducted at his village today in the afternoon, where large number of family members, relatives, members Chandigarh Press Club, journalists and other officials from Central and Punjab Governments paid tributes to the departed soul.
Giani Jiwa Singh was 78 and Bhog of Sehaj Path of Sri Guru Granth Sahib will be conducted at his village residence and Antim Ardas for the departed soul will be held on Sunday, September 2, 2018 at Gurdwara Tibbi Sahib village Khudda Ali Sher UT Chandigarh.
Giani Jiwa Singh who served the Punjab Government and retired from Punjab Roadways Chandigarh. Throughout his life he performed Gurbani Keertan with his brothers and followed the path of Gurmat. Giani Jiwa Singh has left behind his family which include his three sons and two daughters and their children.
His son Manohar Singh is serving as Assistant Controller Legal Metrology Punjab Government, younger son Jodh Singh is serving as Assistant Professor Mechanical Engineering Panjab University Chandigarh, daughter Gurjodh Kaur is working as Punjabi lecturer at Government College, Sector 51 Chandigarh.
