Khalsa Hockey Team Players Reet meets PM Modi

Amritsar, Oct. 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Local Khalsa Hockey team player Reet today arrived along with the Indian Hockey team back home after registering various achievements including the emphatic performance in the recently concluded Youth Olympics held at Netherlands. The team reached Delhi today morning to a grand welcome amidst beating of drums and loud cheers.

The team members along with a large contingent of officials met Prime Minister Narender Modi and Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs apart from Secretary, Joint Secretary and other senior officials. The team finished as runners up at the just-concluded 3^rd Youth Olympics held in Netherlands.

Reet was given a special mention for her outstanding performance and was awarded a Silver medal by PM Narender Modi. Reet is a midfielder who not only controlled the game and helped others score goals but also scored 5 goals herself at the Youth Olympics 2018.
