Lions Club Blacktown City Sydney honoured Lion Sukhvinder Singh Narula

Amritsar, Nov. 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Lions Club Blacktown City Sydney honoured Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Narula President of Lions Club Amritsar Golden Temple in Sydney recently who was in Sydeny on a Tourist Visa.
After reaching Amritsar he said that The meeting of the Lions Club was held under the chairmanship of Lion Rebel Hanlon, President of the club. While presiding over the meeting Mr. Hanlon gave the detailed information about the forthcoming convention to be convened by the club. He informed the members of the fund raising measures for the convention. Secretary of the club Mrs. Hanlon presented the action taken report of the last month meeting.
Lion member Mr. Satish Kumar introduced the Guest member Lion Sukhvinder Singh Narula. While addressing the meeting Mr. Narula said that lions clubs are doing commendable jobs for the welfare of communities all over the world. More than 14 lacs members are associated with it in the world. He further informed the members that Lions Club Amritsar Golden Temple in India is running a Lions Eye Hospital which caters to the needs of poor by offering them cataract operation with a minor cost of about $70 whereas the other private hospitals in India are charging a hefty amount for a single operation with folding lens. He said their hospital is equipped with modern infrastructure even then there is a need to upgrade it. He sought the financial assistance from the philanthropists for its upgradation.
Lion Rebel Hanlon honoured Lion Sukhvinder Singh Narula with Club’s plaque. Many other lion members were also presented.
