49th Foundation Day of the Guru Nanak Dev University on Nov. 24

Amritsar, Nov. 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Guru Nanak Dev University would celebrate its 49^th Foundation Day on 24 November, 2018 (Saturday) at the various venues in the University Campus.

Prof. Sarbjot Singh Behl, Registrar (officiating) said that committees have been constituted for the smooth conduct of celebrations of Foundation Day by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu. Prof. Ved Prakash, former Chairman, University Grants Commission, New Delhi and Prof. Charan Singh Non-Executive Chairman, Punjab & Sind Bank will be delivering Academic Lectures in the Sri Guru Granth Sahib Bhawan Auditorium of the University at 11:00 am.

The celebrations would start with Bhog Sri Akhand Path at University Gurdwara Sahib followed by Shabad Kirtan. The Painting exhibition would be the main attraction on this occasion. This exhibition would be organized at The Gallery-History & Dreams in the University campus. Guru-Ka-Langar would be serverd opposite Indoor Stadium. In the evening, Kirtan Darbar at the University Gurdwara Sahib will also be organized.
