HCL visits CKDMIT Amritsar for Joint Campus Placement

Amritsar, August, 30 (Manjit Kaur)- CKD Institute of Management & Technology (CKDIMT) conducted a successful joint campus placement drive for the HCL Technologies Ltd (Business Services) here today. The mega placement drive was open for all streams MBA; BCA; BBA; B.Sc (ATHM); B.COM and B.TECH in for freshers as well as experienced candidates. Above 5oo candidates from 24 colleges across Punjab participated in the process. The selection process consisted of four rounds, of which first and second round were Pre-Placement talk and Group discussion followed by Operational Round and HR Round. A total of around 28 students were shortlisted for the process on the basis of four rounds.

10 students were finally selected from the shortlisted candidates including 3 students of CKDIMT namely, Vanita (MBA); Kunwar (BBA) and Pragti (B.Com). The selected candidates have been offered the positions of Junior Engineer Product Services with a package of 2.42 Lac/Annum CTC. S. Charanjit Singh Chadha, President of CKDIMT encouraged other students to take opportunity to go on campus placements. He further added that the overwhelming response we have received from corporate as well as students is an indication of opportunities and talent that exist in the educational institutions.

Dr. H.S. Sandhu, Principal of CKDIMT said, “Joint Placement Drive allows students to develop transferable skills and increased their confidence and professional maturity. Number of MNC’s is also lined up for further recruitment in the current session.” Mr. Paramjit Singh Makkar, Head Placements said, “During Joint Campus Placement students get a chance to develop their Interpersonal skills and build on the theory and knowledge they gained so far.” Mr. Vikas Kapoor, HR Team Leader, HCL Technologies, said, “The event was a great opportunity for the job aspirants. We were looking for the best-in-class talent from different college and are pleased to inform that the whole process went on smoothly and thus are grateful to CKDMIT for all the support extended.” S. Narinder Singh Khurana (Honorary secretary) and Dr. Dharamveer Singh (Director Education) were also present on the occasion and thanked the HCL team.
