Initiative for Plastic bag free Amritsar airport on the occasion of Lohri

Amritsar, Jan. 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Amritsar Vikas Manch (NGO) & Fly Amritsar Initiative distributed non-plastic fiber bags along with peanuts, chocolates inside the bags to passengers and encouraged them to use these re-usable bags. Airport management in association with Amritsar Vikas Manch organized this event to promote plastic free airport on the occasion of Lohri,

               The staff and management at the airport headed by Airport Director Manoj Chansoria made good arrangement. Bhangra team entertained the passengers and other attendees. Staff members of the airlines also joined celebrations by dancing on Dhol beats.

               Amritsar Vikas Manch Patron and Member of the Airport Advisory Committee Manmohan Singh Brar thanked the Airport Director and Airport Authority of India for their efforts. Yogesh Kamra, co-convener of Fly Amritsar Initiative and Additional Secretary AVM, said that in the financial year 2017-18, there was a record increase in the number of passengers at the airport and such efforts helped the passengers at the airport to be very happy. Manch Patron Dr. Charanjit Singh Gumtala along withmember Daljit Singh Saini also participated in the event.
