7 penalties under court accused of corruption charges
Chandigarh, July 8 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Punjab Vigilance Bureau during the month of June,
under the anti-corruption campaign launched a total of 12 raids and arrested 13 government employees and 2 private individuals across red handed accepting bribes in different cases. It includes Police Department 5, the electricity department 4 and 4 other employees of various departments. In addition, various special courts handed fines and punishments to sevenemployees were found guilty in the bribery case. The Chief Director – cum -A.D Vigilance Bureau Punjab B. Uppal said that the Bureau did our best to prevent corruption in the public service and othersectors. During the trial due to the vigilance of the screening officers to various courts of the state in this direction were made to secure follow-up to ensurejudicial penalties.
He said that the Bureau presented by the cases of corruption in the 5 run various special courts during the last month. In the same month in the corruptioncases against government officials were registered by the Vigilance 2 trial to investigate in more depth. Meanwhile recorded 3 more vigilance probes firm toinvestigate allegations of corruption.
Giving details he recorded that during the hearing of the cases by the Vigilance last month to six different special courts are juramane punishments to theaccused, including a posted at Mansa. Similarly, in another corruption case S.P. L posted at Moga, Surinder Singh, Assistant Executive Engineer and his private driver Jaswinder Singh has beensentenced to Moga court penalty of 4 years imprisonment and Rs 5-5 thousand. Besides Patiala posted a. Sukhwinder Singh has been sentenced toPatiala court penalty of imprisonment of 3 years and twenty thousand rupees. Posted at Barnala A. Jarnail Singh Barnala has been sentenced to the courtby the penalty of imprisonment and Rs twenty thousand of 4 years.
Apart from the said Anandpur Sahib posted forest range officer Baldev Singh has been sentenced to Ropar court penalty of 4 years in prison and fourthousand rupees. Moreover GMADA S. E. S Senior Assistant kiranapala Kataria posted at Nagar. E.S Municipal court has been sentenced by a penalty ofimprisonment and Rs twenty thousand of 4 years.
