94-Year-old Agriculturist of Tohana wins First Prize oOf Rs 1.5 Crore

Chandigarh, July 23 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Dreams do not fade away with the age, to keep the dreams alive you Lottaryhave to keep faith and belief in yourself, and need determination and constant efforts. If anyone wants to see this coming true, he has to meet Balwant Singh, a nonagenarian resident of Tohana (Haryana), who hit the Jackpot of Punjab State Sawan Bumper-2019.

After submitting the documents to the Punjab State Lotteries Department for encashment of the prize, Balwant Singh said that he had bought three tickets of Punjab State Sawan Bumper from Mohali, where he had come to meet his daughter.

94-year-old the lucky winner said that he had been buying tickets since a long time but never got a big prize. Interestingly, this time he won the prizes on all three tickets. He won two prize of Rs 200 and Rs 1.5 crore on the ticket no. B-331362.

Agriculturist Balwant Singh expressed satisfaction over the transparent and smooth system pertaining to the draw of lotteries adopted by the Punjab State Lotteries department. He said that he wants to expand his agricultural land and try innovations in farming with the prize money.

            Notably, the draw for the Punjab State Sawan Bumper was held on July 8 at Ludhiana and the first prize of Rs 3 crore had gone to two tickets A-316460 and B-331362 (Rs 1.5-1.5 crore each) and second lucky winner was Suman Priya George Masih of Kharar (SAS Nagar), who also pocketed the Rs 1.5 crore.
