Amritsar, September 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Member of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla inaugurated India’s Leading Travel, Tourism Exhibition IndiaTravel Mart- (ITM) alongwith delegates from different states tourism boards like Punjab Tourism, Rajasthan Tourism, Gujarat Tourism, Bihar Tourism, Goa Tourism, West Bengal Tourism and travel agents, tour operators and nearby cities at Holiday Inn at Amritsar.
After two successful shows in Rishikesh and New Delhi, ITM North series has arrived in Amritsar, with the theme of ‘Get Set for Winter Vacations! Discover India Discover World!’ this year’s exhibition will continue till September 15th 2019. The three days exhibition will showcase the glimpse from the State Tourism Board’s like Punjab Tourism, Rajasthan Tourism, Gujarat Tourism, Bihar Tourism, Goa Tourism, West Bengal Tourism, Hotelier’s like Glen View Resort- Kasauli, Rosakue Hospitality, Hyatt Regency Amritsar, Hyatt Regency Dharamshala, One Earth Hotels, Country Inn Group of Hotels & Resorts, East Bourne Hotels & Resorts, Amritsar Grand Hotel, Travel Agents, Tour Operators, other participants like Spice Land Holidays- Kerala, Krishna HOHO Services, Atlantic Tourism, Dove Travels, Travel Mail and many more will be seen aggressively marketing their products under one roof for interaction with the trade visitors as well as promoting the best holiday packages and hotel deals to travel enthusiastic from Amritsar to neighboring regions to plan their upcoming holidays. Members of National Travel Associations like ADTOI, IATO, TAAI, OTOAI are supporting this mega event.
Speaking on the occasion Gurjeet Singh Aujla Member of Parliament said with the rapid economic development taking place in the country and availability of greater disposable income combined with affordable holiday packages, tourism in India is increasing steadily and acts as a catalyst for the furthering the economic growth in view of its wide range linkage effects and multiple impacts. Travelling to Amritsar geographically, historically, economically is not expensive from different cities & states. Amritsar daily witness 1.25 lakh devotees from all across the country. There are around 30-40 historical places to visit Amritsar for a minimum of two day stay for tourist. Adding further Mr. Aujla said we are working on the improvement on tourism part, so that the tourist can stay for three day’s at Amritsar and enjoy the place along with the authentic food like Amritsari fish/ Amritsari Kulcha & Amritsari Naan. He also added for State to State connectivity via air from Amritsar to other cities.

The opening hour of the exhibition is between 11 AM – 07 PM for the second day (Saturday) and from 11.00 AM to 6.00 PM on the last day (Sunday). Entry is free for all visitors.
