Medical Students welcomed with white coat ceremony at SGRDU of Health Sciences

Amritsar, Oct 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Medical Education Unit of SGRDIMSR organized a white coat ceremony for students of MBBS who were admitted this year. White coat ceremony is symbolic of students being admitted to the medical profession. The program started by administration of Hippocratic Oath by the Director Principal Dr. M. S Uppal. This was followed by lighting the candle where the right was passed on to all students. Dr. Sahiba Kukreja, Coordinator of the MEU organized the program.

                Dr. A.P Singh Dean of the University distributed specially designed back packs to the students. It is worth pointing out that as part of new MBBS curriculum applicable from 2019 admissions, a month long foundation course is in progress and the white coat ceremony was a culmination of the same.
