Auto generation of I cards with QR code would be done through app
Sultanpur Lodhi, Oct 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In a major step to facilitate the pilgrims at sultanpur 
lodhi during the 550th Gurpurab the district administration has launched a feature enriched “Parkash Utsav 550” mobile app today.
This app would also work offline as one time download of the data on this app would be permanent which further requires no internet connectivity after its download.
Launching the app MLA Navtej Singh cheema, Deputy commissioner DPS Kharbanda and SSP Satinder Singh said that the app has been launched with an aim to aware the large no of pilgrims from across the globe about the traffic routes, railway connectivity, facilities like residence etc, security, information about historic Gurdwaras, medical facilities and places to visit at nearby areas.
He said that the android users would be able to download app from the Google play store and in next three days I Phone user would also be able to download it from apple store as its publication has already been made .
Talking about the features of the app he said that that it will provide single click information about Historical Gurudwaras, transport, healthcare Management, Food and Water Management, Toilet and Waste Disposal, Police Check post Management, IT Information Centers, May I Help you Desk, Parking Management, Missing Tracking Management.
He also said that pilgrims would also be able to get information about the 37 langars at various places.
He also said that GPS locations of all three tent cities and 9 parkings was provided on that app so that people coming from various roads would be able to choose their parking and allotted tent city.
He also said that under Panic Alert Management (in case of Emergency) and all kind of helplines, ATM points also mentioned in the app. He also informed that to tackle any critical situation, locations of 44 hospitals at Sultanpur, Lohian, Kapurthala and Jalandhar were also given in the app.
Deputy commissioner also made it clear that besides facilitating devotees , the app would also be very helpful in management of human resources and deployment of officials in all 15 sectors .
He also said that auto generation of I cards for officials would also be done by this app , having QR code , Photo and registered mobile no .It will save energy and money of district administration by performing this genetic task as more than 9000 employees to be deployed here from Nov 1st to 12.
Employees on the duty would be able to check his duty point, shift and nature of job with the app also, he added.
ADC Rahul chabha said that the communication companies would install more than 20 high frequency towers to provide mobile signal and internet data to cater the lakhs of pilgrims against the already existing mobile signal and data for only 16000 residents of the city.
