An industrial visit to IT Company “Softprodigy” organized by DAV College

Amritsar, Nov 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – PG Department of CS and IT, DAV College, Amritsar organized an industrial visit to the IT Company “Softprodigy” located in Mohali. 31 students of BCA/BSc (IT)-V Semester visited the company. This visit was planned to give real time scenario about the upcoming practical Challenges which the students will face after the completion of their course and the skills that one requires to sustain in the IT sector.
While briefing about the visit, Prof. Vikram Sharma Head Department of Computer science said that students were given knowledge about the immense importance of latest technologies like C#, Phyton, COBOL and Ruby with hands on training sessions during this visit. Prof Sanjeev Dutta, Prof Aditi Gupta and Prof. Varun Bhagat also accompanied students during the visit.
