Amritsar, Nov 16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In a novel intiative undertaken by the Airport Authority, 14 NCC Airwing students of DAV Public School Lawrence Road were invited to the SGRD International Airport today to give them a hands on learning experience on the intricacies of Traffic Management inside the premises of the Airport.
The students were guided to manage the Traffic by controlling the arrival and the departure of the people coming to pick and drop the passengers. They were asked to explain to the people the importance of time bound rule of 5 minutes to pick and drop, which if not followed could lead to a fine of ` 500. Many other such rules and regulations were explained to the public there under the guidance of Airport officials. It was a golden chance for the students of DAV Public School to learn traffic management and also make the people aware of the same by being an active participant in the same.
Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school extended special thanks to Manoj Chausoriya Director of Airport Amritsar, Capt. Vivek Atri Joint GM of the Airport and Mr.Yogesh Kamra Social Worker. While praising the initiative of Raja Sansi International Airport Authorities, she said that it was a much needed strategic activity for making the public realise their duty.
Padma Shree Dr. Punam Suri President DAV CMC New Delhi appreciated the efforts of the school for providing their students a new experience that can go a long way in their life, shaping their personality for good citizenship.
Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Amritsar also sent their blessings for the students.
