Civil surgeon Dr. Bawa checks food provided to the jail inmates

Kapurthala, Jan.16 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Civil surgeon DR. Jasmeet Kaur Bawa today visited jail premises. During her visit she instructed the medical and paramedical staff of jail to maintain proper records of all opdpatients, admitted patients and medicines provided to them from time to time. She told them to maintain a special referral register with full details as well. Dr. Jasmeet Bawa told the jail superintendent that eight specialists including a lady doctor have already been provided for proper health care to jail inmates from Monday to Saturday The specialities include (surgery, skin, dental, medicine, gynae, eye, ent, ortho and psychiatry  their duties . She also instructed that there should be emergency kit available in every ward. She also visited female inmates and asked about their problems. She instructed the doctor on duty to make sure that all the wards and examination rooms are well equipped and neat n clean. She visited the kitchen and gave all necessary instructions about personal hygiene to the cooks over there and she checked the food provided to the jail inmates. All inmates were satisfied with the health services provided to them.
