Double Victory Brigade conducts Mini Marathon

Beas, Jan 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Double Victory Brigade organised a mini marathon at Beas (Amritsar district) today as part of Army Day Celebrations.  A total of  250 students from five schools in Rayya and Beas participated in the same. The purpose of organising the mini marathon was to motivate children to join Indian Army and to create awareness on the importance of fitness and to have a healthy life style.

            Commander Double Victory Brigade flagged off the event which was conducted for both boys and girls of local schools.  The event saw an overwhelming response from school children as well as civilians. All civilians and defence personnel gathered cheered and encouraged the students to perform well. The event was highly appreciated by one and all and would give a further impetus to the campaign “Ek Bharat Shreshta Bharat”.
