Physical Fitness Centre inaugurated at DAV College

Amritsar, Jan 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A Physical Fitness Centre was opened at Mahatma Hansraj Hostel, DAV College Amritsar. Punjab Cabinet Minister and Minister of Medical Education and Research, Freedom Fighters and Minister of Food Processing Shri O.P. Soni inaugurated the fitness centre. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar and Head of Department of Physical Education Dr. B.B Yadav welcomed the chief guest.

Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar said that the fitness centre is a big step towards improving the fitness scenario for students as well as the teaching and non teaching staff. The gym is air conditioned and well equipped with latest fitness machines. Shri O.P. Soni announced a grant of 3 lakhs to be given to the college to buy better and improved machines for the fitness centre.

Sekhon, Dr. Daizy Sharma, Dr. Rajni Khanna, Dr. Praveen Kumari Thakur, Dr. Rupinder Kumar, Prof. Malkiat Singh, Prof. Pradeep Celly, Prof. Neeraj Gupta, Prof. Kapil Gupta and Prof. Ashima Walia were also present at the occasion.
