V.P Singh Badnore greets People on ‘At Home’ at Punjab Raj Bhavan

Chandigarh, Jan. 26 (Punjab Post – Jaswant Singh Puri) – The Punjab Governor and Administrator Union Territory Chandigarh Shri V.P Singh Badnore was ‘At Home’ with distinguished citizens of Punjab and Chandigarh at Punjab Raj Bhavan.

                The invitees from different walks of life started converging at Punjab Raj Bhavan before the start of the ceremony to greet the Governor. The pathway of Punjab Raj Bhavan was tastefully decorated to receive the distinguished guests. The ‘At Home’ function began as the Punjab police band played the National Anthem.

                    Shri Satyadev Narayan Arya Governor of Haryana, Shri Rana Sodhi Minister of Sports, Mrs. Kirron Kher M.P Chandigarh, Mr. Karan Avtar Singh Chief Secretary, Mr. J.M Balamurugan Principal Secretary to Governor, Mrs Raj Bala Malik Mayor MC Chandigarh, Canadian Consulate General, British Deputy High Commissioner, Mr. Arun Sood President BJP Chandigarh, Mr. Rajesh Kalia, Mr. Davesh Moudgil, Mrs. Poonam Sharma (former Mayors of Chandigarh), former MP Mr. Satya Pal Jain, former Goc-in-C, Western Command, Information Commissioner Haryana, Lt Gen. K.J Singh, Mr. Manoj Parida Adviser to Administrator, Mr. Nirmaljit Singh Kalsi Additional Chief Secretary (Retd.),  besides many senior officers from Punjab and Chandigarh were there to greet the Governor. Senior Defence, Civil and Police officers of Punjab and Chandigarh Administration remained there till the end of the function. Vice Chancellors of various Universities of Punjab and Chandigarh were also present.
                 The main attraction of the At Home function was a special Orchestra from the Chandigarh Spinal Rehab Centre playing the patriotic tunes and songs in perfect harmony.
                 The Punjab Governor Shri V.P Singh Badnore intermingled with the august gathering. He interacted with the elderly people serving and retired army officers on this special day.
