‘Fit India’ Campaign at KCW

Amritsar, February 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Khalsa College for Women organized ‘Fit India’ Campaign initiated by PPNJ0902202016NSS department today, to educate students and public to make physical and mental fitness a way of their lives. Cyclothon and Walkathon were held in the College to promote the idea of health and fitness among them.

              Principal, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, said that ‘Fit India’ movement should be taken as a routine part of our individual and family life. While enumerating the changes brought by technology, she advised people to shift from sedentary lifestyle to active way of life and pay attention to fitness. Good health promotes immunity and helps in getting rid of many physical ailments. She motivated the gathering to cycle, walk or play every day to stay healthy. The staff and the students promised to keep track of their fitness to pave way for a fit India.
