DAV Public School Celebrates Rishi Bodh Utsav

Amritsar, February 21 (Punjab Post Bureau) – With the blessings of Padam Shri Arya Ratan, Dr. Punam Suri President DAVCMC New Delhi, and under the able guidance of the Principal Dr. Neera Sharma DAV Public School Lawrence Road Amritsar organised a havan on the glorious occasion of Rishi Bodh Utsav at the school Yagyashala to invoke the blessings of Almighty. Rishi Bodh Utsav is observed as the day of enlightenment of Swami Dayanand Saraswati. The day held a great importance in the life of Swami Dayanand Saraswati as it eventually transformed him and later he laid the foundation of the great spiritual movement, Arya Samaj which was founded in 1875.

              Regional Officer Punjab Zone–A Dr. Neelam Kamra graced the occasion. Other dignitaries present were Mr. Sudarshan Kapoor, Col. Ved Mitter, Rakesh Mehra, Mr. Kapoor, Mrs & Mr. Inderjit, Mrs & Mr. Inderpal Arya, LMC members and Arya Samajists.

              A special programme was organised which was dedicated to the teachings and ideals of Swami Dayanand Ji a great scholar, reformer and philosopher. Teachers read out excerpts highlighting the vision of the great scholar for the society which included removal of social evils, bad customs and blind belief. Poems narrating his awe-inspiring life were also recited.

           Regional Officer Punjab Zone–A Dr. Neelam Kamra motivated the students and the teachers to take inspiration from the life of Swami Dayanand Ji and make positive contribution to the society. She said that Swami Ji was a great nationalist and an epitome of excellence who propagated enlightenment in the form of education, with an appeal to despise social evils.

                 Dr. Rajesh Sharma, the Manager of the school, sent his best wishes on this occasion and advised to follow the path shown by the great visionary and imbibe true Aryan values for a better living.

               Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school thanked the guests and said that she wants her students to grow into responsible citizen with high moral values and they should contribute in the nation building process by uplifting the society.
