Amritsar, February 23 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Khalsa College emerged as overall champion in the two-day-long 5th
Inter-Khalsa Colleges Youth Festival-2020 that concluded at Khalsa College for Women (KCW) campus, here today. The festival witnessed hundreds of students competing in the various events including dances, fine arts, poetry, debates, folk singing, gidda, bhangra, play, mono acting, skit, poster-making, extempore and paintings.
The Khalsa College of Education (KCE), G.T Road, emerged as first runner up while Khalsa College of Education (KCE), Ranjit Avenue bagged the second runner up position. The 13 colleges under the Khalsa College Governing Council (KCGC) participated in the event which saw colourful presentations of the talent by the students in diverse fields of performances.
The trophy and prizes were distributed by chief guest KCGC honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina who congratulating the students said the youth festival provide opportunity to the students to present their inherent talent on stage. “I hope everyone took part in the one or the other event. To be successful in life, we must face challenges and emerge winner. This is the inherent message of the show”, said Chhina.
Principal KCW, Dr. Manpreet Kaur earlier welcomed the guests and thanked all Principals and management for making the show a grand success. KCGC Member Davinder Singh Chhina, Principal Dr. Mehal Singh, Dr. Surinder Pal Dhillon, Dr.Jaspal Singh, Dr. Harpreet Kaur, Dr. Manju Bala, Dr.Kamaljit Kaur, Dr.Kawaljit Singh, Dr.SS Sidhu, Dr. Inderjit Singh Gogoani, Principal AS Gill, Gurjit Singh Sethi, and Puneet Nagpal faculty, staff and others were present during the festival. The judges in the program included Dr. Rashmi Nanda, Jobanpreet Kaur, Rajbir Singh, Dr. Rimpy Aggarwal & Harjit Singh.
