Amritsar, April 2 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In a unique way, the students of Khalsa College of Nursing (KCN) today initiated an awareness campaign against the Corona Virus. They, while staying at home but connected online, got united through social media groups and jointly put posters and graffiti in front of their homes and online to make the general public aware about the deadly disease.
KCN Principal Dr. Kamaljit Kaur said the students of final year guided by their teachers including Prof. Yashpreet Kaur took this step to spread awareness about how important it was to stay indoors and adopt the spocial-distancing in the present emergency scenario. She said they had been directed by Khalsa College Governing Council honorary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina to make such efforts as being the Nursing Colleges it was their duty to serve the public.
She said the students of B.Sc. Third Year took part in the drive in which they installed already prepared posters in the streets in which the information about taking precautions to ward off the disease and changing the life style, keeping high spirit and strong will power, taking up the exercises while staying indoors and dietary plans were highlighted.
“The drive also focused on how the preliminary precautions are must as there is no treatment of the corona virus and it is also important that early detection in case of dry cough, flu and fever hit the individual”, said she adding that the students are regularly in touch with their teachers due to the ongoing online E-Classes program underway by the College.
