GNDU Tourism & Hospitality Department hosted online International webinar on

“Room Cleaning Procedure During And Post Covid-19”

Amritsar August 3 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of Tourism & Hospitality of the Guru Nanak Dev University in align with its commitment to groom students intellectually and morally organized an online International webinar on “ROOM CLEANING PROCEDURE DURING AND POST COVID-19” in collaboration with Ginger by Taj hotels. Resource person for the international webinar was Mr. Sumit Lochab, Assistant Hotel Manager, Ginger by Taj Hotels, New Delhi. This webinar was attended by participants from various institutions & different parts of India and abroad.

            Starting session was about the Bed making procedure under WHO guidelines, Enhanced cleaning procedure under COVID-19 situation and Step by Step Procedure of Room Cleaning. Under this Webinar, Mr. Sumit Lochab discussed regarding Sanitization Techniques of room amenities and supplies, Handling of room linen under WHO guidelines, Special disinfectants and cleaners used under COVID situation.  Resource person also give a brief demo on cleaning techniques and scenarios opted by hotels during COVID-19.

             This International webinar was conducted by Chef Harpreet Singh, Assistant Professor in the department. He introduced the resource person. The webinar was conducted on Google meet platform & was divided in several sessions. During the valedictory session, Prof. (Dr.) Mandeep Kaur expressed her view on the international webinar & thanked the resource person & others.
