New labour room set up in isolation centre to facilitate pregnant ladies
Kapurthala, August 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In a fight against corona to save the district from spread of covid 19, 
the districts health workers in the isolation centre has made the successful delivery of covid positive patient, who gives the birth to a baby girl at 10.40 PM on last night.
Gytari devi , who belongs to bholath was admitted in the isolation ward few days ago as she tested positive for covid 19.
Dr. Sandeep dhawan said that the health workers were on high alert through out her admissions in the isolation centre as the lady Gytari devi was 9th month pregnant. He said that a team of health workers under the staff nurse Hardeep kaur made this complex pregnancy possible in a highly professional and humanatarian manner.
Meanwhile congratulating the health department Deputy Commissioner Deepti Uppal said that a new labour room with the capacity of two beds has been set up in the isolation centre.
She also announced to provide special attention towards the pregnant ladies in the isolation centre, the administration would not only provide the suitable atmosphere but also the nutrition enriched food to the ladies besides educating them for mother feed.
Staff nurse Hardeep kaur said that handling delivery case of COVID-19 positive pregnant woman was no less of a challenge but hospital’s dedicated Medical, Nursing staff and other supporting staff in the district, made it possible by performing their duty with dedication and carried out the delivery process in a professional manner and with humane compassion.
