Development works worth Rs. 93.51 crore started in Kapurthala under smart village second phase

Kapurthala, October 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – With an aim to uplift the living standards in rural areas at par with

cities, the development projects of Rs. 93.51 crore were launched today in district Kapurthala, under which basic amenities would be provided in 546 village of the district.

                  The second phase of this scheme was launched virtually by Chief Minister Captain Amarinder singh and MP Mr. Rahul Gandhi .

                       Jasbir singh Dimpa MP, Rana Gurjit Singh MLA, Navtej singh cheema Sultanpur Lodhi took part in launching event alongwith Deputy commissioner MLA Kapurthala Deepti Uppal and SSP Jaspreet singh sidhu at variour places at villages Bhanolanga and Bussowal.

                  It may be mentioned here that the work allocated to different assembly constituency included 99 villages of Kapurthala with Rs. 18.06 crore, 215 villages with Rs. 30.17 crore, 141 villages with 25.46 crore and 91 villages with 19.81 crore.

                   The smart village second phase would mainly provided Villages to 100% sewrage, water supply, concrete based roads and street lights along with 5 sports stadiums at each blocks across the Punjab.
