Class 12th students of Mall Road Smart School given 510 free Smart Phones

Amritsar, December 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – In a State Level virtual function, Hon’ble Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh virtually inaugurated the phase II of smartphones distribution to Class 12th students under the  92 crore ‘Punjab Smart Connect Scheme’  on Friday. In the Function organizedhere at GGSS Smart School Mall Road chief guest Sonu Dutti representing Sunil Dutti (MLA Amritsar North) distributed 510 smart phone handsets to the 12th class students of Mall Road School.

                  On the occassion Sonu Dutti while addressing the students, parents and staff of the school cited that this initiative of Punjab Govt. is intended to extend affordable access to online/digital education for the students studying in Govt. Schools. The needy students can now easily attend online classes, interact with their teachers through live video conference classroom sessions in order to cover their syllabus.

                 Principal of the Mall Road School Mrs. Mandeep Kaur expressed her gratitude on behalf of the students, parents and school staff. She voiced the scheme of free smart phones, a commendable initiative of Punjab Govt. She reiterated that this scheme would be directly benefitting the needy students of Govt. School who are unable to afford smart phones for educational purposes.

                 The program was well conducted and managed by the dedicated team of staff Kamal Arora, Param Aftab Singh, Nikhil Seth, Rajvinder Singh, Mohinderpal Singh,  Mrs. Bindu, Mrs. Neena, Ms. Adarsh Sharma, Mrs. Mandeep Bal, Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur, Mrs. Rashmi Bindra, Mrs. Kawalinder Kaur, Mrs. Raman Kalia, Mrs. Bhupinder Kaur, Mrs. Harpreet Kaur, Mrs. Palwinder Kaur, Mrs. Shallu, Mrs. Meenakshi, Mrs. Balwinder Kaur, Amarjeet Singh Kahlon.
