DAV roller skaters shine in Distt Roller Skating Competition

Amritsar, December 23 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Keeping in mind and abiding by all the guidelines issued by the Govt. A district level Roller Skating Competition was held at ‘The Wheels Skating Track’ Loharka Road Amritsar under the aegis of Distt. Roller Skating Association (regd.). Children aged 5 to 18 years actively participated in this tournament braving the chilly weather. Mehak Gupta of Std XII (Non Med.) and Rahul Rai of Std XII (Med.) represented  DAV Public School  in the above 17 senior category. Mehak Gupta bagged a total of 4 gold medals in 500 m, 1000 m, Road Race 100 m and one lap categories, while Rahul Rai bagged a Silver Medal in 500 m, and 2 Gold Medals in 3000 m and one lap racing events. Both the students have been selected for Open State Skating Championship to be held in January 2021.

                  Regional Officer Punjab Zone A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and School Manager Dr. Pushpinder Walia Sharma Principal BBK DAV College Amritsar expressed great appreciation for both these students and exhorted them to strive harder to achieve greater levels of success in their lives. Principal DAV Public School, Mrs. Anita Mehra also applauded the grit and preparation of these students and congratulated them on this achievement.
