Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Basant Avenue bagged 1st position in 16th CKD Primary Sports Tournament-2014

 Amritsar, Oct 31 (Manjit Kaur) – Two days 16^th Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society Primary Sports Tournament-2014 was held on 28^th Oct 2014 in Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, Sultanwind Link Road. Students of 12 CKDCS Urban schools and 17 CKDCS Rural schools participated in the Primary Sports Tournaments-2014. The Chief Guest for opening day was S. Upkar Singh Sandhu (Distt. President, SAD Amritsar Urban). and S. Jaswinder Singh Dhillion Hony. Secretary Education Committee CKDCS arrived as the Guest of Honour for the day. The Closing Ceremony for two days 16^th Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society Primary Sports Tournament-2014 was held on 29^th Oct 2014  and the Chief Guest for the day was Ms. Hardip Bhanwrah (A.E.T.C. cum Deputy Director Amritsar Sub Division) . S. S.S. Chahl (E.T.O) arrived as the Guest of Honour for the day. S. Pritpal Singh Sethi, S. Gurinder Singh Chawla, S. Surjit Singh (Member Incharges of the school) and Madam Principal Mrs. Amarjeet Kaur extended the warm welcome to the present dignitaries. S. Charanjit Singh Chadha President Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society presided over the function.

                       On the occasion students presented a colorful program which swayed the spectators to their tunes. S. Nirmal Singh Resident President CKDCS, S. Narinder Singh Khurana Hony. Secretary, Dr. Dharmveer Singh Director Education CKDCS, S. Lakhbir Singh Khyala Deputy Director Sports also graced the occasion with their presence. Member Incharges of the various schools also made the occasion gracious with their presence along with the Principals from various schools.

                In these sports under Urban School the first position was bagged by Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Basant Avenue, Second Position Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, G.T. Road, Amritsar, Third Position Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, Majitha Road Bypass and Fourth Position Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, Sultanwind Link Road, Amritsar. Under Rural schools first position was bagged by Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Pandori Khazoor, Second Position Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Nathupura, Third Position Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Mehal Jandiala and Fourth Position Sri Guru Harkrishan Public School, Chabhal. Trophies were given to the first, second and third position students and they were appreciated by the guest of honours.
