Three Shooters of GNDU selected in Indian Team

Amritsar, April 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  It is a proudly and happiest moment for us to note that three of Guru Nanak Dev University Shooters are selected to represent the Country in Olympic Games to take place at Tokyo in 2021 said Dr. Sukhdev Singh, Director Sports, GNDU Amritsar. He further said that it is always a big dream for every sportsperson to participate in Olympic Games, a leading sports competition held every four years. This dream is coming true for our three Shooters named Divyansh Singh Panwar, Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar & Sunidhi Chauhan. The first shooter will compete in 10mtr. Air Rifle and other two shooters will compete in 50mtr. 3P event for the Country.

                          Prof. Jaspal Singh Sandhu Vice-Chancellor of Guru Nanak Dev University felt joyful on this great achievement. He congratulated the Shooters for selection as member of Indian Shooting Team in the foremost competition Olympic Games. He blessed the shooters to perform well in the games and bring laurels to the University and the Country by winning Medal in Olympic Games.

                   Prof. Hardeep Singh, Dean Academic Affairs and Prof. K.S. Kahlon, Registrar, Guru Nanak Dev University also expresses their love and affection for the Shooters.  They further added that the Shooters have made us proud. The Assistant Director Sports and Shooting Coach also congratulated them and very hopeful that the Shooters will do more hard work and fetch medals for the Country.
