KCGC Expresses grief over demise of Harminder Singh Freedom

Amritsar, May 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Khalsa College Governing Council honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina today expressed grief over the demise of its joint secretary, public schools, Harminder Singh Freedom. Harminder Singh who was briefly ill, breathed his last today at a private hospital.

                   Chhina on behalf of all office bearers and members said that Harminder who was a humble and god-fearing man, was a known industrialist in the city and he served the Khalsa institutions as its Finance Secretary and Joint Secretary (Public Schools). `The city has lost its known face and khalsa institutions and industry will remember his services for long time to come”, said Chhina.

            Harminder was born on June 1, 1941 in Sialkot, now in Pakistan and was a law graduate from Punjab University. He was MD of Freedom Industries and long associated with Chief Khalsa Diwan in various capacities including President. He had many awards to his name as industrialist and headed various industrial welfare associations and visited many foreign countries. He left behind two sons Barinder Singh, Rajbir Singh and daughter Manjot Kaur.
