Bibi Jagir Kaur expresses grief over demise of eminent Sikh scholar Dr. Jodh Singh

Amritsar, June 22 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee president Bibi Jagir Kaur expressed deep grief over the demise of eminent Sikh scholar, former professor of Punjabi University, Patiala and editor-in-chief of ‘The Encyclopedia of Sikhism’, Dr. Jodh Singh.

                  Bibi Jagir Kaur said that Dr.Jodh Singh has worked extensively on Sikh philosophy and Gurbani. He translated the verses of Bhai Gurdas Ji into English as well as Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji into Hindi. Bibi Jagir Kaur said that the passing away of such a scholar is an unbearable loss.

                  Expressing condolences on the demise of Dr. Jodh Singh SGPC president prayed to the Akal Purakh to give strength to the family to accept His will and for the peace of the departed soul at His feet.

                    Meanwhile, the SGPC senior vice-president Surjit Singh Bhitewad, junior vice-president Baba Buta Singh, general secretary Bhagwant Singh Sialka, chief secretary Harjinder Singh Dhami also expressed their condolences on the demise of Dr. Jodh Singh.
