Kapurthala, June 28 (Punjab Post bureau) – Vaccination in kapurthala has crossed 2 lakh mark yesterday with jabs 
of 200664 persons since its launch on Jan 16,2021 at civil hospital Kapurthala.
Deputy Commissioner Kapurthala Deepti Uppal said that Presently 30 session sites are working in Kapurthala, where 4000 to 4500 people getting vaccinated daily.
84652 senior citizens have been vaccinated which falls under high risk category besides 34004 people between 45 to 60 years age group. 30733 labourers and 15384 persons with comorbidities have also been vaccinated in age group of 18 to 44.
Presently the prime focus was to cover the ” target group ” like shopkeepers, traders, students, drivers , elected representatives etc by organizing special camps at markets etc.
