BBK DAV College starts new academic session by performing ‘Havan Yajna’

Amritsar, July 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – To mark the beginning of new session and seek blessings for upcoming university exams, a Havan Yajna was organized at BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar. Havan Yajnas are regular feature of the college and are organized before the commencement of every major activity. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia, Sudarshan Kapoor Chairman Local Managing Committee,.  Inderpal Arya Member Arya Samaj, Col. Ved Mittal Member Arya Samaj, Sandeep Ahuja and Karan Ahuja were present on the occasion.

               While addressing the gathering Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that performing Havan is the best way to start the new session, as Havan Yajnas are the symbol of hope and optimism. She said that as humanity is passing through the challenging times of pandemic, only hope and optimism can lead us to the other side of the tunnel. Dr. Walia said that need of the hour is to move together to for the welfare of the whole mankind. She said that the hardworking faculty and students of the college did not let the challenges of the pandemic come in their way and the college got 33 merit positions in university exams and was able to get 18 1st positions in the university.

                Inderpal Arya said that Arya Samaj is a movement under the guidance of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati which aims to revive Indian culture at the global platform.

              Chairman Sudarshan Kapoor congratulated Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia and the faculty of the college for putting in their best efforts during the toughest times.
