One-month online Faculty Induction Programme concludes at GNDU

Amritsar,  September 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Prof. Manoj Kumar, Controller of Examinations, Guru Nanak Dev University advised the young faculty that they should never stop learning and work hard as the nation builders. Teaching is a very noble profession and teachers must be very careful in his conduct since they are nurturing young impressionable minds who eventually shape up a country’s future.

            He was delivering his presiding lecture during online valedictory function fifth Faculty Induction Programme which was concluded at UGC-Human Resource Development Centre of Guru Nanak Dev University. As many as 36 teachers participated.

            He said that a good teacher should always encourage independent thinking and creativity among his students. He congratulated all the participants for successfully completing the course and apply whatever they learnt in the course, in their respective institutions.

            Director HRDC Prof. Sudha Jetinder welcomed the Chief guest and apprised him about the course. She said that HRDC-GNDU is working hard under the guidance of its Chief Patron Vice Chancellor Prof Jaspal Singh Sandhu, to conduct various training programmes for teachers and research scholars.

            Deputy Director, Dr. Rajbir Bhatti presented the vote of thanks. The course had several eminent speakers including Prof . Ved Prakash- Former Chairman UGC, PadmaShri Prof. GD Yadav- Former Vice Chancellor ICT Mumbai, Prof S.K Mehta Vice Chancellor University of Ladakh, Prof. Umesh Kulshrestha Dean School of Environment Sciences JNU, Prof Brijesh Dubey IIT Kharagpur, Prof R.K Pradhan, IIT Kharagpur and many others in addition to GNDU faculty. Applications are invited for various Faculty Induction programme 06, Refresher Course in Liberal Arts, Basic & Applied Sciences and Short-term courses as approved by UGC and prospective candidates can see the website www.hrdcgndu.org
