Baba Farid’s birth anniversary celebrated with devotion by SGPC

Amritsar, September 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) celebrated the birth anniversary of Baba Farid Ji with devotion at Gurdwara Shaheed Ganj Baba Gurbakhsh Singh in the complex of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib, Sri Darbar Sahib.

                  On this occasion, after the bhog (culmination) of Sri Akhand Path Sahib, hazuri raagi jatha of Bhai Palwinder Singh of Sachkhand Sri Harmandar Sahib connected the congregation with Gurbani Kirtan. The ardas (prayer) was offered by Bhai Baljit Singh and the holy hukamnama was recited by Bhai Harmitar Singh, kathawachak of Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall.

               On this occasion, Bhai Harmitar Singh informed the congregation about the life of Baba Farid Ji and told them about the lessons given by him. He said that the Bani of Baba Farid Ji recorded in Guru Granth Sahib Ji inspires man to connect with God and by following his guidance a successful life can be lived.

                On this occasion the manager of Sri Darbar Sahib S. Gurinder Singh Mathrewal, assistant secretary. Sukhbir Singh, manager Narinder Singh, additional manager Darshan Singh and the congregation were present.
