3% increase in dearness allowance of SGPC employees

Amritsar, October 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The SGPC EC also approved a 3 per cent increase in the dearness allowance (DA) of the employees of the SGPC.

               Disclosing this here today Bibi Jagir Kaur said that apart from the 3 per cent increase in DA, a special allowance of Rs 1,000 will be given to those employees having salaries up to Rs 20,000 and Rs 500 to those with salaries from Rs 20,000 to Rs 40,000. She said that although the financial crisis persisted due to COVID-19, the salaries of the SGPC employees were still paid. She also lauded the work done by the employees during COVID-19 pandemic.

               SGPC EC also recited Moolmantra and Gurmantra to pay tributes to SGPC member Jathedar Sewa Singh Sekhwan, Hakim Satnam Singh who was killed in Pakistan, Ragi Bhai Surinder Singh Jodhpuri, Principal Bibi Supinder Kaur who was killed in Srinagar, Kashmir and farmers who were killed in Lakhimpur incident.

             Apart from SGPC President Bibi Jagir Kaur, junior vice-president Baba Buta Singh, general secretary Advocate Bhagwant Singh Sialka, chief secretary Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami, EC members Satwinder Singh Tohra,  Baldev Singh Chunghan, Baba Charanjit Singh Jassowal, Ajmer Singh Khera, Navtej Singh Kauni, Bibi Malkit Kaur Kamalpur,  Harbhajan Singh Masanan, Amrik Singh Shahpur, secretary  Mahinder Singh Ahli, additional secretary Sukhdev Singh Bhurakohna, Partap Singh, Sukhminder Singh, assistant secretary  Kulwinder Singh Ramdas, Tejinder Singh Padda, Nirvel Singh, OSDs to SGPC President Dr Amrik Singh Latifpur and Dr. Sukhbir Singh, superintendent Malkit Singh Beharwal were present.
