GNDU lifelong learning Department organized an exhibition

Amritsar, November 1 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of lifelong learning Guru Nanak Dev University organized an exhibition on the occasion of Diwali, where they displayed varieties of handmade Pots, Diyas, Candles, Tohrans, Lampsets etc. Students and staff from different Departments visited to have a glimpse of handicrafts made  by students.

                 The event was inaugurated by Dr. Hardeep Singh, Dean, Academic Affairs He not only praised the efforts put by students, but also encouraged the students to take part in such creative events to enhance their skills. Moreover, he appreciated the efforts done by Prof. Saroj Bala Director of Department of lifelong learning and all staff members.

                 Director, Prof. Saroj Bala informed that there are various courses/diplomas for Boys/Girls to improve their skill set.  Students of these courses organize this exhibition every year on the occasion of Diwali. She also added that the students put their efforts to make different handmade things, where they are guided under “Earn While Learn” scheme to increase their motivation. Moreover, students metioned that due to these course, they have become self-department and are able to earn handsome amounts.

                On this occasion, Mrs. Tejpal Kaur, Mrs. Paramjit Kaur, Mrs. Rupinder Kaur, Mrs. Anchal,  Mrs. Kamla Devi, Mrs. Kirti, Miss Jaskaran, Miss Rubal, Mr. Manish Mohan and other faculty member were present.
