INDIA @ 75 BRO MOTORCYCLE EXPEDITION 2021

 Amritsar, Dec 26 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Major General Raju Baijal General Officer Commanding, Panther Division, flagged off the “INDIA@75 BRO MOTORCYCLE EXPEDITION 2021” from Amritsar, Punjab on 25 Dec 2021 to mark the 75th year of independent India as part ot celebration of “ Azadi Amrut Mahotsav’

            A total of 10 riders from the Border Roads are participating in the rally. They have traversed through Bhuj, Barmer, Bikaner, Ferozepur and Amritsar and will finally culminate at Delhi on 25th December 2021, and will cover a distance of approx 2700 kms over a period of eight days.

            Flagging off the rally, the General Officer Commanding, Panther Division said that this is a historic year and it is important for us to remember the supreme sacrifice made by our veterans of Border Roads while working in hostile, remote terrain of Border Areas where connectivity is extremely crucial.  He added that such events are important to connect with the people and remind them of the valour and sacrifice of the Border Roads Organization. He wished good luck to all the participants and lauded their spirit of adventure.     

            The expedition will interact with war veterans/widows and with other veterans of the Armed Forces. The riders will also visit schools and colleges and connect with the youth of the country, to highlight the velour and sacrifice of Border Roads and aims to rekindle the spirit of patriotism in the people and showcase the indomitable spirit of the Border Roads. It will also Indian motivate the youth to join the elite Border Roads Organisation by making them understand career prospects in BRO. The expedition will also conduct medical camps, Road safety campaigns and visit old age homes/ orphanages.
