Orientation Program on Skills to Sustain Banking and Financial Sector at KCA

Amritsar, February 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Post-Graduate Department of Commerce and Business Administration, Khalsa College, Amritsar organized an `Orientation Program on Skills Sets Required to Sustain Banking and Financial Sector: A Rendezvous with Reality’. Kanwaljit Singh lead trainer of Punjab Bajaj Finserv who was the resource person in the programme stressed on the role of financial services in modern economies.

                 Principal Dr. Mehal Singh earlier said the primary objective of the programme was to provide guidance on the various skills required for rendering banking and financial services. Dr. A.K Kahlon, Dean and Head and Programme Director welcoming the guest speakers also introduced the distinguished guest Dr. Samiya, Assistant Professor who also emphasized on the rising importance of financial services.

            Mr. KanwaljitSingh explained the various national level CSR initiatives undertaken by Bajaj and also highlighted the need to improve communication and workplace skills to the participants. More than 100 students from the commerce department participated in the programme and gained knowledge about the skills required for the jobs and interview. Dr. Sawraj Kaur, Dr. Deepak Devgan, Dr. Poonam Sharma, Dr. Rachhpal Singh and other faculty members of Commerce department were present during the programme.
