Amritsar, March 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – KT Kala celebrated “International Women’s Day” by organising Kala Milan (an art workshop of women artists of Amritsar). Dr. Karuna Mohindra Dean CT University Ludhiana inaugurated the two days workshop today. 65 women artists of Amritsar participated in thisn workshop.
Brajesh Jolly Director KT Kala said that One canvas of size 23” by 30” one box of colours , certificates were provided to all the participants. Each artist is making one paining on different subject. It is a rare event where more than 60 women artists of Amritsar (Not students) are working together under one roof, said Mr. Jolly.
Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Dr. Mehtab Kaur, Ravinder Dhillon, Neha Mahajan, Kavita Hastir, Sharanjit Kaur, Bharti Malhotra, Aditi Jain, Aakarshi Sawhnai, Krishna Veni, Gursharan Kaur, Teena Sharma, Varuna Khanna, Kanchan Arorra, Loveleen Kaur, Manju Kumari, Peral Bachu, Shifa Puri, Shubha Mahajan, Sugandhi, Vanshika, Purnima, Neetu Matta, Tarandeep Kaur incudes the participating artists.
Dr. Parminder Singh Grover, Dr. Karuna Mohindra, Kulwant Singh Gill, Rajesh Raina Secretary KT Kala and Atul Mehra presented Certificates to the artists.
It is to remember that KAUSA Trust Amritsar is working for the promotion of art since 2011. After opening its KT:Kala at Lawrence Road, it is holding many art activities. After the pandemic Corona is almost over, the KT has restarted its art activities at KT:Kala.
