Amritsar, Mar 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The iconic event ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ will be celebrated by the Vajra
Corps at Khalsa College and Jallianwala Bagh Amritsar on March 26 and 27. The celebration comprises of a fort to fort cycling expedition covering a distance of 920 Kilometres (twelve forts of Punjab including Jagatjit Palace, Sarai e Khan Fort and Sheesh Mahal). A special display of the equipment and weapons in the arsenal of the Indian Army will also be organised to generate awareness and encourage sense of patriotism amongst the youth. The highlights of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebrations would be a fly past by Advance Light Helicopters of Daredevil Army Aviation team, unique Martial art and superlative Bhangra performance by students of Khalsa College, Canine display by Remount Veterinary Corps, prestigious Military Band display and Khukri dance by Gorkha troops. The mega event will also witness melodious performance by Gurshabad Kular and Nikita Puri at Khalsa College. A special event will also organised at Jalliawala Bagh on the evening of March 26, 2022 to pay homage to the fallen heroes who laid down their lives for independence of the nation.
The celebrations are being organised as a tribute to all Indians, who have sacrificed their life for glory of our country.
