Education is a great leveler and builder of capabilities: Majithia
Amritsar, November 26, (Dharminder Rataul) – Khalsa College Governing Council President Satyajit Singh Majithia today stated that the education was a great leveler as it empowers one and all to reach heights. He was speaking at separate annual functions of Khalsa College Senior Secondary School (KCSSS) and Khalsa College Public School (KCPS) here today.
Majithia called upon society at large to focus on the imparting of value-based education to develop patriotic and service-oriented minds. At KCPS students presented a colourful extravaganza of cultural programs, dedicated to `incredible India’, in which the dances of almost all the states were performed. Apart from this fusion of music, the Gidda, Bhangra, Sufi singing and recital of Jugni was appreciated by the gathering of students and their parents.
He, along with Council’s Honourary secretary Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina and Principal Dr.Sarvjit Kaur Brar, released school’s magazine `Sirjan’ also. Dr. Brar presented the annual report of school, narrating achievements of the school in academics, sports and cultural activities in last one year. At KCSSS, the children presented the singing of Vaars (war poems) and displayed the Yoga in a meticulous way. Here Principal NS Bhangu presented school’s annual report. Chhina in his address sought the education to be made job-oriented and opening of the courses and educational programs which would make students capable of earning honourable earnings in society. The winner and meritorious students were honoured at both the school functions.
