SGPC President Welcomes Turban Day related Act by Canadian state

Amritsar, June 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Advocate Harjinder Singh has welcomed the Turban Day related Act passed by Manitoba state of Canada. As per this Act passed, now every year April 13 will be celebrated as Turban Day in Manitoba State of Canada.

                 SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh said Dastar (Turban) is an integral part of Sikh living and today, Sikhs living across globe are increasing the pride of Sikh identity by wearing turbans. “Respect and recognition to turban on behalf of government in any country is satisfying and a matter of happiness. This has been possible with the efforts of Sikhs living across globe and their achievements at the international level”, said Harjinder Singh, while thanking government of Manitoba state and congratulating the Sikhs.
